Kern’s Bakery has been a central part of bread-making over the years in Knoxville and has seen many owners transform it. In 2019, Mallory and Evans Partners purchased the building with a vision to transform it into a trendy mixed-use community and food hall.

S2A is proud to have been involved with The University of Tennessee, Student Union Phase II Project, which recently won the Outstanding Design Award. The project is featured in the American School and University magazine. This building features a preeminent meeting and event space, but is also "A home away from home" for students. “This space really serves as a crossroad between a student’s classes and their residence hall or off-campus housing” says Ian Crone, Director of the Student Union.

The Boys & Girls Club has been operating since the 1860s with its primary goal of enlightening young minds no matter their circumstances. Today, there are 4,300 clubs that serve over 4 million young boys & girls.
